Dr Vijay Raichura BDS (L’pool) Cert Restorative Dent (UCL Eastman Dental Institute) Diploma Implant Dentistry (UCL EDI)
I completed my undergraduate training at Liverpool University in 2002 which is where I met my wife Reena. Since then I have worked in General Practice in Central London and Essex for 6 years. I have worked in Stoke Road Dental Practice since 2008. Over the years I have completed a postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics, undertaken a 2 year intensive course in Oral Implantology in Oxford. I have also completed a year long Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice and I have just passed the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at London’s prestigious Eastman Dental Institute.
In my spare time I enjoy playing with my young children and try hard to keep fit!

Dr Reena Raichura BDS (L’pool) BSC MJDF RCS (Eng)
Reena also completed her training at Liverpool University, in 2003. Having worked in London, Luton and Southampton she has had experience working in General Practice, hospital and community dentistry. A number of postgraduate courses completed in London include a year-long course in Implant Dentistry and also has a certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. She has had specific training in dealing with nervous patients whom we welcome to the practice. While bringing up two young children Reena has completed her membership of the Joint Dental Faculties examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr George Zardavas DIP DS
George has completed his training at the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 1998. After working for 2 years as a Military Dentist for the Hellenic (Greek) Army he relocated to the UK in 2001. Since then he has worked in General Practice in London and then Portsmouth before joining Stoke Road Dental Practice in April 2006. He has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry; He has successfully completed year-long hands-on postgraduate courses in Restorative Dentistry (Eastman University in London, 2007) and Cosmetic Dentistry (CDS Seminars 2014). Full member of British Cosmetic Dentistry Society (BCDS) and Associate Member of British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD)

Mr Richard Ramsey Consultant/Specialist in Oral Surgery
BDS, MSc, FDS RCSEd, MFGDP(UK), MSurgDent, PG Cert (Med Ed)
Richard is a registered specialist in oral surgery and NHS Consultant Oral Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. Outside of the hospital setting Richard works for BUPA Dental Care with a central belief being to provide optimal care and outcomes for his patients. He has a clinical focus on dental implantology and the treatment of bone loss requiring advanced regeneration techniques.
Richard graduated as a dentist from the University of Glasgow in 2001 before spending the next 20 years serving in the Royal Army Dental Corps. He undertook specialist training in hospitals and specialist practices on the South coast and subsequently worked at various hospital units whilst moving around the UK with the military, including Birmingham Dental School. One of his most rewarding assignments was in his last four yours of service practicing in an advanced restorative dentistry role. Working alongside Restorative Dentistry Consultants at the UK military referral centre, he gained invaluable experience on how to manage complex restorative cases, including injured personnel, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. He was accredited as a Tier 2 restorative dentist including rehabilitation of the worn and damaged dentition.
Richard lives in the South Downs and enjoys taking advantage of the local countryside with his wife and young children.

Miss Stephanie Carter, RDHT, MDTFEd
Stephanie joined Stoke Road Dental Practice as our Practice Manager in 2023 bringing over 20 years of experience in the dental industry to the team.
Starting her career as a dental nurse Stephanie continued her training to become a dental hygienist and therapist, dental nurse tutor and is currently studying for her ILM 7 in Strategic Leadership and Management.
She is passionate about ensuring the practice is up to date with current guidelines in order to remain compliant with legislation and provide the highest standard of care to our patients.
Stephanie continues to enjoy being involved with the patients so you may see her helping at reception or in surgery from time to time.
Outside of work she enjoys walking her dog, taking part in long distance walking challenges and swimming.

Mrs Emma Robinson BSc (HONS) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy
Emma qualified in 2012 from the University of Portsmouth. Previously she worked in the Maxillofacial department as a Specialist Dental Nurse. She is a very experienced Dental Therapist. Alongside her role here, Emma is employed by The Special Care Dental Service in Portsmouth treating medically compromised, special needs and dental phobic patients. Emma is a very caring practitioner and takes great pride in the dental treatment she provides. Her passion is making patients feel comfortable and helping to change patient perceptions of dentistry. Emma has lots of experience treating very anxious and nervous patients. Emma is a mentor for Dental students at The University of Portsmouth out on placements. She is also qualified in providing Inhalation sedation.
Outside of her Dental role Emma has a keen interest in facial aesthetics and skin care and runs her own business.
Emma lives on the south coast with her Husband and Daughter and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and French bulldog, Milo.

Nursing Staff
All our nurses are qualified (or under training) and registered with the General Dental Council. They are a vital part of our team and are constantly updating their skills.
They have all been with the practice for many years.
