Dental Implants

A dental implant consists of a titanium post inserted into the bone where a tooth is missing and has a restoration similar to a crown on top. It is generally more durable that a denture or a bridge. The procedure requires detailed treatment planning. An anaesthetic is used and after some removal of bone tissue the post is placed into the bone. After a satisfactory period of healing the post is used to support a restoration such as a crown. In cases where more than one missing tooth occurs, 2 or more implants can provide a base to support a bridge or denture.

Currently we refer patients for implants however they will be available at the practice in the future.
